Bittersweet

So Friday is very bittersweet for me, my maternity leave will come to and end I report back to work and although I truly love my job I will miss my little girl so much. Everyone says that a baby changes you but you can never know until you've had one how much this is true. The world becomes brighter when they smile and no matter what life has thrown your way that day one wet kiss and hug will make it better. I think having a child changes you into a better person, my journey into motherhood has just began and even though I might not have all the answers I am very much looking forward to discovering them all with Cora :)

Baby smiles

Cora's silly smile and laugh just makes my heart melt every time!

2 month check-up

So my lil girl is growing up very fast since I have had the opportunity to stay home with her for almost 10 weeks now I don't see her as a big girl ...until we went to her 2 month check-up.
Cora now weighs 13 lbs (90%) , her head is 16 inches (90%) , and she is 23 1/2 inches tall (75%). And was a trooper with her shots only cried for 10 seconds then starred down the nurse like she was sizing her up :) Guess I have to admit that my lil girl is getting bigger.

Congrats Gerty!

Yesterday we packed up to go see Aunt Gerty to congratulate her on passing her Master's Test! Cora decided that she would wear all of aunt gert's favorite items...purple, bibs and fuzzy socks...now if she could have only managed a smile :)

ANGIE WE ARE SOOOO PROUD OF YOU! <3

Devil with the blue dress on...

Well she's not a devil but she's been a fussy butt lately due to a growth spurt! Eating all the time and not wanting to sleep unless some holds her is a little evil :) Here are some shots I took at 6 weeks you can see that most of that growth spurt has been in her cheeks!

Action...action...

We have a very active girl on our hands but I've known that since the first time I felt her move. She kicked me the entire time I was pregnant with her and she has not slowed down at all. She loves to be laid on a blanket on the floor to just kick her legs and talk to whoever will listen. Check out her action shots :)

5 weeks...ALREADY!

So I have tried to stay on top of taking pictures weekly, however, because of a stuffy nose some one was not really up for 4 week pictures so we took some at 5 weeks when lil miss was feeling more up to it. Here's a few of my favorites!

Just a few cute shots

A lil tummy time...

Our first attempt at tummy time was very funny Cora decided that she was only going to move her legs and her booty kept getting stuck in the air while her arms and head went no where...however, I couldn't get a picture of it because I was laughing so hard...it was a good first attempt though.

1st Dr Appt...

So on October 5th we had Cora's first Dr Appt. I was a little bit nervous just because I had no idea what to expect out of it...needless to say I had nothing to worry about. Our little girl has already gained 4 oz...bringing her to 7lbs 9 oz.(31%)  She measured at 20 1/4 inch (56%)and her head was 14 1/4 (62%) the Dr said she is doing just perfect and kept telling us pretty she is....well we already think so but its nice to hear from a professional :)

This picture was taken the day of her appointment and it just makes laugh it appears that she is already giving Grandma a little bit of attitude :)

GAME DAY GEAR...OH..IO!

Grandpa (Ed) was very concerned that on Cora's first football Saturday at the hospital (she was a whole day old) that she did not have any game day gear for her first Buckeyes game so he and Grandma brought her a OSU hat and socks. So...for her first outing from the house and 2nd Buckeyes game we had to show up in style for Grandpa's sake. He was very happy with her GAME DAY GEAR :)

Rub-a-dub-dub...FIRST BATH

Last week we got our first bath...Mom and Dad were a bit worried about a crying slippery baby...but Cora surprised us and just watched everything we did trying to figure out what we were doing to her. She also amazed daddy by peeing on the bathroom rug ..to which he kept saying "I thought only boys did that!" Apparently not daddy :)
